Mike Donohue is the Vice-President of Agri Stats, Inc. and works with U.S., Canadian and international broiler companies to use confidential, comparative benchmarking data to improve operational efficiencies and reduce costs.

He has a M.Sc. in Food and Resource Economics, as well as B.A. in Political Science.

Lasher-Eckroade History Lecture

Dr. Elena Behnke, USDA

Dr. Behnke currently serves as National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP) Senior Coordinator. She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Animal Science and a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and a Master of Avian Health and Medicine from the University of Melbourne, Australia. 

She is a diplomate of the American College of Poultry Veterinarians, and her professional career has included offering services as a veterinary director and field clinician for a poultry diagnostic laboratory; improving intestinal and respiratory health as a poultry technical services veterinarian; and managing health, welfare, and biosecurity programs for egg-type and meat-type chickens as a primary breeder veterinarian for two companies in the industry. 

During her USDA tenure, she previously worked in the roles of veterinary laboratory coordinator, overseeing NPIP’s network of authorized laboratories, and compartmentalization coordinator, supervising the US Avian Influenza Clean compartmentalization program for primary breeders.
